Mark Hearld's Wunderkammer

A new commission produced exclusively for Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft, Mark Hearld’s Wunderkammer includes new drawings, prints and sculptures as well as pieces of folk art and objects of inspiration from the artist’s studio. The work of David Jones has long inspired Hearld and this new commission takes The Animals of David Jones as its starting point. A highlight of the display is a series of five metal weather vanes in the shape of different animals inspired by the 1734 cockerel weather vane in the museum’s collection.
