Managing Director of the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, Professor Richard Clegg, presents this year's Brunel Lecture and examines public understanding of risk. He has been Chief Scientist at the Atomic Weapons Establishment, Managing Director of the UK’s National Nuclear Centre of Excellence and founding Director of the Dalton Nuclear Institute at the University of Manchester; so if anyone can shatter the dilemma of perception versus reality, he can! Richard is now Managing Director of the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, where public understanding of risk is part of its agenda.
