Afternoon Talk-You are what you eat? Food and identity in the Roman and modern world- with Zena Kam

An open forum led by Zena Kamash to discuss how identities are created by food. The workshop will start by looking at how the different groups of people represented in the museum (military personnel; city dwellers; rural inhabitants) used food and drink in the Roman period. Participants are encouraged to share their own food experiences, bringing, if they wish, some food that they feel speaks about who they are.
