The John Moore Museum: Conservation of Natural and Built Heritage

Evening Lecture by Simon Lawton Thursday 28 May, 7- 8.30pm John Moore (1907 – 1967) was a Gloucestershire born countryside writer and an early proponent of the conservation of both natural and built heritage. In this talk, Simon Lawton, curator of the John Moore Museum in Tewkesbury, will be exploring the restoration, preservation and conservation of the Museum's historic buildings and natural history collections. Simon Lawton an MA in History and in Museum Studies. He has worked for both English Heritage and the National Trust and has been curator of the John Moore Museum since 1993.
