A Light Night at the Museum

Join us for a night of music, dance, poetry and art looking to the New World and commemorating the sinking of the passenger ship Lusitania during the First World War on 7 May 1915 through the major new exhibition Lusitania: Life, Loss, Legacy. Join Professor Sarah Peverley and The Liverpool University Players for a series of nautical-inspired readings and images that illustrate the different ways in which sea and its beguiling maidens have been portrayed in literature and art. From ancient epic and Anglo-Saxon poetry to pre-Raphaelite art and contemporary literature, we invite you to succumb to the lure of the siren... An evening of Chinese culture with China Pearl Join Fenfen Huang for an evening exploring Chinese music, dance, calligraphy and experience a traditional Tea ceremony.
