Somewhere in France

This exhibition takes a look at postcards and letters sent from soldiers to their families during WW1. Focusing on the role of the postcard in the soldiers’ lives, it explores the difficulties of communication, including censorship, and more. The display consists of letters and postcards from Lancashire County Council's own museum and archive collections. The exhibition invites visitors to share a little part of the lives of the soldiers through their own words.
