What is Modern British Art?
Join Chris Stephens as he discusses the history of Modern British Art – when did it all begin, who was the first Modern British Artist, is it really British? You will be taken through some of the critically acclaimed displays in Tate Britain’s Meet 500 Years of British Art, with a particular focus on the rooms that take visitors from 1910 up to the 1960s. This talk will highlight key figures in the history of British art as well as introduce artists who have a strong relationship with Tate Britain.
