LUNCHTIME LECTURE: In 1924 the V&A accepted the gift of a huge collection of theatrical ephemera from Gabrielle Enthoven, playwright, actress and 'theatrical encyclopedia'.
A friend and contemporary of Noel Coward, Edward Gordon Craig and many other theatrical luminaries Enthoven had led a decade long campaign to establish 'a theatrical section of a national museum' where practitioners, scholars and students could learn about history of theatre and contemporary practice.
Despite her extraordinary achievements Enthoven is now a forgotten figure.
V&A curator Kate Dorney explores her extraordinary life and legacy.
