Folk at the Foundling: Lady Maisery

Forged from the voices of Hannah James, Hazel Askew and Rowan Rheingans, Lady Maisery burst onto the scene with the release of their 2011 debut album Weave and Spin. Through their fresh interpretations of songs and ballads the trio explore vocal harmony to breath-taking effect. They also break new ground as one of the first UK groups to explore the tradition of diddling or tune singing. Whether singing unaccompanied or with backing from accordion, harp, banjo and fiddle, be prepared for Lady Maisery to enchant with rich harmonies and sumptuous clashes.
