Free entry to this fascinating museum which tells the story of 5000 years of human activity on Dartmoor from prehistory to 20th century farming. Extending over three floors, the collection and interactive displays bring to life 'the people's story' for visitors of all ages. Highlights include a reconstructed Bronze Age hut, Victorian kitchen, blacksmith's shop and farming exhibits. Learn about traditional Dartmoor industries such as glassmaking, quarrying and rural crafts. Guided tours on Friday and Saturday 12th & 13th September explore the history of the 19th century buildings and 'go behind the scenes' with founder curator Alan Endacott.
