Taming the Elements 1: What's in My Stuff?

Hywel and Maria will describe their early experiences of bringing science and art together in this interdisciplinary research project that raises awareness of the chemical elements within everyday objects. Combining deconstruction and materials analysis (the science) with creative arts, components from mobile phones are used to inspire and make beautiful objects, while highlighting some of the issues surrounding Earth’s finite element resources.
