Pitt Rivers at Larmer Tree Festival

Larmer Tree Festival takes place on General Pitt-Rivers' ancestral estate in Cranborne Chase on the Dorset/Wiltshire border. Pitt-Rivers inherited the land in 1880 and his descendants still live there today. If you're going to the festival, look out for the fantastic Pitt Rivers touring tent in the Lostwood area. There'll be free demonstrations, storytelling, family craft activities and object handling, all linking to General Pitt Rivers' collections from societies and cultures around the world.
