Festival of Archaeology 2014: Big Saturday: Parklife

Come along to Manchester Museum for a day of discovery for all the family. Find out more about archaeology, get some hands-on archaeological experience and see how and what archeology can tell us about the past. Visit the Whitworth Park: Pleasure, Play and Politics exhibition and see the fascinating discoveries that came to light during the community archaeology and history project and objects that have been discovered at the site. See, hear and discover more about Whitworth Park and how it's role has changed over time. Meet archaeologists and curators and see objects from the Museum's collections. See demonstrations of how some of the objects from the exhibition have been conserved. Find out more about traditional games that were played in the park, and have a go at playing them yourself.
