'Sister Susie' was the affectionate name given to the women of the World War One home-front carrying out war work on land and munitions factories. Her counterpart the women of the Voluntary Aid Detachment found themselves introduced to the medical teams in overseas military hospitals. Come along with your own 'sisters' and 'comrades' to explore some fascinating correspondence and historical stories as well as having a go at some skills.
