In the middle of the Panama Canal lies Barro Colorado Island. It is home to the world's oldest tropical ecology research station, created almost 100 years ago when the area was flooded to build the canal.
Despite human impacts, the island's tropical forest still retains an incredible diversity of insects and plants. Join us as we go on a beetle hunt, exploring the remarkable island rainforest and uncovering the important interactions between the plants and beetles that live there.
