Film Night

Rare films to be screened at the Fleet Air Arm Museum. Among the many thousands of records and artefacts at the Fleet Air Arm Museum are 775 films and videos some dating back to 1918. As part of the national Museums at Night initiative, the Fleet Air Arm Museum’s Curatorial Department has decided to screen some of these films on the evening of Friday 16th May, commencing at 7.30pm This is a rare opportunity to see archive films of fleet Air Arm activity from the 1930s through WW2 to jets and helicopters. Seeing the old aircraft and ships in action brings them to life in a way which no static display can ever match. Bar and restaurant open from 5.30pm. Tickets cost £5.00 for film only or £12.50 for film and supper. Tickets available on line from www.fleetairarm.com, in the Museum Ticket Box or on the door.
