Writing Mesopotamia: history and culture

Writing Mesopotamia is a series of three creative workshops, based on the unique achievements of this influential civilisation. They can be enjoyed separately or as part of a series. There is an opportunity to showcase work produced in these workshops at a reading event connected to the project at the Museum on 27 April. The workshops are run by Iraqi poet Adnan al Sayegh and British poet Jenny Lewis. This workshop explores the history and culture of Mesopotamia and Iraq. Set your imagination free to produce responses to objects through poetry and creative writing
