Choosing a Healthy Future

On 18 September Scotland must make a decision: remain part of the UK or chose independence. Our Scotland Decides series asks what this might mean for some key science-related issues and the first topic under the microscope is healthcare. The panel will consider the health challenges faced by the population. They will examine how the people of an independent Scotland might want their healthcare to be provided, discussing the future of free prescriptions, medical training and hospital services.
