Feasting with Latinus: Whithorn and the invention of Christian burial in Scotland

The monastic site at Whithorn in south-west Scotland is famous for its rich archaeology and the shrine of St Ninian. In recent years, the legends surrounding Ninian have been questioned, and it is no longer clear exactly who he was. Whithorn is Scotlands earliest Christian burial site and this lecture looks at new burial traditions for early Christianity
