Lunchtime Talk: The Benefactors and the Building of Greenbank Hospital.

Uncover the history of Greenbank Hospital with Elaine Wilce and Margaret Holmes from the University of the Third Age. They have been researching the local dignitaries such as solicitors, Lords, surgeons and aldermen whose ideas and funding support enabled the hospital to be built - many of whom had wards named after them. Elaine and Margaret will also touch on the hospital during the First and Second World Wars as well as share their own anecdotes of ‘a wonderful hospital with lovely memories’.
