Capture of Seville by Ferdinand III, King of Casti
Ferdinand III, is shown in foreground at right, with two armed retainers, receiving the key of Seville from a dish held by a kneeling Moor. On the left is a view of Seville, in which the Cathedral and the Torre del Oro figure prominently, with the river Guadalquivir in the foreground. At the top right appears in the clouds a vision of the Virgin, probably the "Virgen de los Reys", the Virgin of the Catholic Monarchs. Size: 136.5 x 63.5 cm
