Grenzmuseum Schifflersgrund
The Border Museum Schifflersgrund is a fascinating open-air museum on the former inner-German border, just outside Bad Sooden-Allendorf. Here you can walk along the original border strip, see preserved fences, watchtowers, and patrol roads, and get a real sense of what the Cold War border once looked like.
The exhibition tells the moving stories of divided families, daring escape attempts, and everyday life in the shadow of the border.
