Deutsches Filmmuseum
The German Film Museum in Frankfurt is one of six film museums in Germany.
The permanent exhibition of the museum opened in 1984 presenting exhibits from the history of film, working tools and film production. There are four special exhibitions each year that are dedicated to specific film genres.
The library of the German Film Museum is opened to the public as the archive and includes about 80 000 volumes on film.
