Sportmuseum Berlin - Wassersportmuseum Grünau
The reopened Grünau Water Sports Museum presents a newly designed permanent exhibition at its new location in the historic regatta stands. Under the title “Water Sports Grünau”, we convey the history of the regatta site with its boathouses, we show the development of boat building and present the diverse club landscape. To this day, water sports are inextricably linked with the history of Grünau. The first Berlin sailing regatta took place here in 1868 and rowing clubs built their pretty boathouses along the Dahme. Boats, tools, photographs, historical documents - they form the basis for an exhibition that provides an insight into the eventful history of clubs, technical developments and political upheavals.
