Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle
Have you ever met a royal rhinoceros or a giant squid? No? Then go to the National Museum of Natural History. Over the course of 350 years, the royal garden of medicinal plants of Louis XIII has given way to a place dedicated to the understanding and protection of nature and various species. An incredible “green” discovery in the heart of the city.
Created in 1635 as the Paris Royal Botanical Garden, the famous museum is located in Jardin des Plantes (Plant Gardens) on the left bank of Paris.
Its main attractions are the Hall of Evolution, the gallery of comparative anatomy (dinosaurs, giant birds and insects) and the gallery of mineralogy (600.000 minerals, giant cristals and royal precious stones).
