Bad Wildunger City Museum

Stadtmuseum Bad Wildungen

The Bad Wildungen City Museum is housed in a historic half-timbered building dating back to 1672, which itself reflects the town’s long and eventful history. Since 1938, the museum has presented a rich permanent exhibition on local history, ranging from archaeological finds that shed light on life in the Stone Age to carefully preserved documents detailing significant events that shaped the city. Imaginative room settings bring past ways of living and working vividly to life.

Among the highlights are a fully preserved crouched burial from the Neolithic period, a reconstructed 20th-century classroom, and a living and working room designed in authentic 1950s style.
