Kew Palace and Kitchens Re-opening

During 2014 Kew Palace will re-open for the summer season exploring the education and upbringing of a young King George III. This is the story of a bright and lively King who was passionately supportive of British interests and fascinated by the arts, sciences and music. He grew up with his own “science lab” upstairs. His father played the cello and commissioned leading musicians of the day to compose for him. Objects in the displays in the Breakfast Room and Library have been chosen to reflect George III’s interests and his influences.
