Permanent exhibitions of the modern slovenian art

The permanent exhibition of modern Slovenian art contains 64 paintings and sculptures from the 20th and the 21st century and has been systematically updated and renovated several times since 1975. It comprises works by modern Slovenian painters and sculptors and has been placed in four consecutive rooms.

The collection is introduced by works from three leaders of Slovenian impressionism. The connecting core of the exhibition are modernists from the end of World War II to the end of the previous millennium and authors from the local environment. The collection is concluded with works by younger artists from the Slovenian territory and the local hinterland. The collection is still being updated and occasionally changed in terms of placement.
