This shroud belonged to a lady called Tashay who lived during the Roman period, 140 -160 AD. They show a mixture of Greek, Roman and Egyptian styles. Tashay is shown in Greek dress, but the gods are typically Egyptian. Tashay raises her hands to worship Osiris-Sokar. Behind him stands Nephthys. Nepthys is a protector of the dead.
