Lintel from Saqqara. Women are often shown as supportive of the man. Here the wife of Tjenti holds him protectively. Men are rarely shown embracing women.
Lintel from tomb at Saqqara, from tomb of overseer Tjenti. Tjenti is shown seated holding his staff of office. Beside him is his wife, Ni-ankh-hathor who clasps him in her embrace. The inscription records a prayer for funerary offering addressed to Anubis 'lord of the sacred land' 5th Dynasty.
