On the skyline stands the Column of Liberty. A little below this to the right is Gibside Hall. To left of centre a small building. Cattle grazing near the tree-lined riverbank. Left foreground, a boy and a dog look over the edge of a bank at the river below. Purchased of the assistance of the MLA/V&A Purchase Grant Fund, the National Art Collections Fund and the National Heritage Memorial Fund. Size: 45.1 x 27.4 cm.
