Seizure in the form of six ivory slices with rounded upper edge between slices of mother of pearl of the same shape with admissions of gilded silver on the outside, floral patterns, and on each side a trophy group with musical instruments, bagpipe, trumpet and drum, on the back disc additionally a bird (and?).
The discs are joined by pins at the top with tiles on the outside of gilt silver, pressed decor of concentric circles. On the left side of the rear disc tubular pen holder of mother-of-pearl. The discs down to the bottom of the buckle clasp of gilt silver, on the outer side of the folding piece, dog’s head (Henry Clavel, St Germain-en-Laye, 1 Dec. 1780-1789, see Carre, Les poincons de l orfevrerie francaise, p.123).
