Kibworth Beauchamp lies 6 miles north of Market Harborough. This image is a copy photograph of a postcard showing Main Street looking towards the Bank. Note the mixture of architecture in the village, the brick houses and the old mud cottages with thatched roofs. Also note the gas street lighting on the street. The village gets its name from Walter de Bellocampo, Lord of the Manor in 1125. Its twin village is named Kibworth Harcourt and both parishes share the church of Saint Wilfred.
