Teapot of compressed spherical form raised on a shallow cylindrical foot, a loop handle and projecting octagonal spout. Decorated around the rim with a border of formal flowers in underglaze blue enclosed within two bands of underglaze blue, the foot rim is similarly decorated. The sides of the teapot decorated with pt0065-sur-pt0065 with scrollwork overall, over-painted in underglaze blue and enamels with flowers, foliage and chrysanthemums of various types.
