Type 6RS officials lamp from Eppleton colliery, stamped ' EPPCOL ' on the base,bottom cage ring and bonnet. The bottom cage ring was made in 1973 and the base in 1972. The lamp has a stainless steel bonnet with gas testing nipple on bonnet., , , , The striking bar was missing when collected, but replaced with a Protector original by David Harker in 2006. The donor thought her brother had used the lamp at Trimdon Grange colliery, however this closed in 1968, before the lamp ws made. It is more likely he received it later as a memento, as the lamp has been well polished, I.e.a display piece., , , , Materials : Stainless steel, brass and glass.
