Faience wadjet eye amulet with hieroglyphs on reverse. 19.5x15x5mm. The Wedjet eye or 'Eye of Horus' was worn in life as well as death. Egyptian religion told a story of how Seth took out Horus's eye and how it was restored and healed by Hathor/Thoth. The eye was therefore a symbol of completeness. From the British Museum.
