Faience pendant in the shape of a papyrus sceptre. The 'wadj' or papyrus sceptre amulet was particularly popular in the Late Period (Lacovara et al, 2001, 'The Collector's Eye' p 167). Chapters 159 and 160 of the 'Book of the Dead' specify that a green 'wadj'amulet be placed at the neck of the mummy.
