Figure of a young man playing a salt box

This figure is one of the characters from the Commedia Dell 'Arte. The young man is seen seated on a rocky mound rising from an irregularly shaped circular base. On his left knee he supports a salt box held in his left hand and on the right hand he holds a stick with which to rattle the lid of the box. Purchased of the assistance of MLA/V&A Purchase Grant Fund. Size: Height: 12.4 cm.
