Fruit Stands

Pair of set of fruit stands, two larger and four smaller. Each stand is identical in form, shaped and decoration to the dessert plates, except that both are raised on high plinths. The stands of the fruit dishes are formed of three interlocks dolphins raised on end, their faces resting on the plinth, which forms the foot, their tails supporting each dish. The dolphin"s fins and eyes are picked out in gold, the plinths are of triangular form. The sides of the plinth are shaped and are picked out in gold and sky-blue enamel. Size: 18 cm and 12.5 cm.
