In the centre of the nice village Ballum on the Dutch Waddenisland Ameland you find Nobels Nostalgisch Museum. The owner of this museum is Tjeerd Nobel who collected the last decades oldtimers, households products and other special objects which he used for his museum. The museum is located behind the bike rental 'Fietsverhuur Nobel'. You can follow the arrows which will lead you to the entrance.
After you paid the admission charge of only €5,00 you will get access to a wonderful little village builded from the collected items of Tjeerd Nobel! Most of these items are from the period 1900-1950 and will give you the feeling that you travelled back in time!
You will recognize a lot of items from your youth, that’s why this museum gives you a nostalgic feeling of that time! It’s brings your memories back of that good, old time of your (grand) parents.
You are free to look in the museum alone but the owner is always very motivated to give you a personal, guided tour through his museum. He can tell you hilarious stories about some of the items but also personal stories about the daily life on the island Ameland. Living on an island is always different than on the mainland. And you’ll discover this in Nobel Nostalgisch Museum!
