The Whitaker - Rossendale Museum and Art Gallery

Set within the beautiful grounds of Whitaker Park, the Museum and Art Gallery offers each visitor a variety of surprising new experiences. Be inspired by the Victorian building and our permanent collection of art and objects, and see how we’re making fresh connections with contemporary themes. Regularly changing exhibitions rub shoulders with extraordinary natural history exhibits - including a Bengal tiger wresting a python, cultural artefacts – including a shrunken head, and displays of ceramics, and archaeology as well as many more objects from nearer home.

The costume gallery can only show a small part of the amazing costume collection the museum holds. However, the display changes to compliment other exhibits.
