FRida & freD – The Graz Children’s Museum

Frida & freD is a house for all children in the centre of Graz. We offer exciting exhibitions, theatre performances and programmes for children aged 3 to 12. Come and take a look!

What to expect…

FRida & freD is a sock museum! Kick off your shoes and leave them on the shelves behind the ticket counter. You can explore the exhibitions barefoot, with socks or your own house shoes.

We recommend leaving yourself at least and 1.5 hours for your exhibition visit. You can visit the exhibitions any time during regular hours but pre-booking is necessary for some of our special programmes.

Saturday at Two. Every Saturday at 2 pm we offer an exciting activity for visitors. Let yourself be surprised! Click here to learn more about Saturday at Two and our other Programmes (in German).

Theatre. Every Thursday to Sunday at 4 pm theatre takes centre stage at Frida & freD. Reserve your tickets by calling +43 (0)316 872 7700. The combi-ticket can be used to access both our theatre performances and exhibitions. Theatre performances are in the German language. FRida & freD Garden. Our garden opens every May 1st for the duration of the summer. It is part of the exhibition and there is always something to do. Open only in good weather!

Make yourself comfortable in the snack area. There are coffee and drinks machines at your disposal. Healthy snacks are available in the museum shop.

Hands-on allowed! In our exhibitions you can give everything a go. If you have questions or would like to learn more just ask one of the explainers in the red FRida & freD t-shirts.

Photography. You are welcome to take photographs in the museum for personal use! You can even upload images yourself to our Facebook Fan Page. Take a look!
