Exhibition works: 30 11 2018–20 01 2019
At the exhibition, artist Eugenijus Varkulevičius-Varkalis presents his works of the applied graphics retrospectively and draws attention to drawing as an important means of expression and illustrates its various possibilities.
Since 1995 living in New York and working creatively in collaboration with Jonas Mekas and the „Anthology Films Archives“ Varkalis has created posters for different events, exhibitions and films there. In 2000 he illustrated the book „My Nights“ by J. Mekas. Back in Lithuania since 2005, the artist proceeded making illustrations and posters. Drawings in pencil, ink, Indian ink, mixed techniques on paper create a mixture of his views and fantasy.
