The eternity in E. Velaniškytė’s paintings reveals itself in images of everyday life. Sacred stories depicted in the pictures merge into the flow of life, thus drawing everyone closer to Jesus Christ. However, the sacredness in E. Velaniškytė's canvases is not perfect and invincible. Often, it lights up in painful scenes disclosing limited situations. The expressiveness of the palette that a canvas absorbs is brightened with a golden glow able to highlight dynamic rythm of the paintings.
The hope is transmitted in figures, beside the God, of family members, relatives or strangers. In a number of cases, the painter focusses only on faces which reflect loneliness, suffering, and absurdity. But they are calm, still, and the eyes are shining light.
Although the main part of the exhibition include paintings created in 2011–2018, canvases of the earlier, the Salakas (Zarasai district) period can be seen as well. In the exposition the painter presents not only her own works, but also sculptures by husband Gediminas Borisevičius (1972-2012) and works by her children – Mindaugas, Kotryna and Miglė.
