Curated by Cristina Galassi and Marco Pierini, the inspiration for the exhibition was the historic 1907 exhibition, Mostra d’Antica Arte Umbra - An Ancient Umbrian Art Exhibition. The focus of this high visual impact exhibition is the unprecedented wealth of art forms which flourished in Umbria in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The up-to-date version of the exhibition contains more than 100 works by the period’s greatest artists from all over the region: town council museums, ecclesiastical institutions and private collections, making the whole of Umbria an exhibition!
