Largest personal exhibition of the painter in Saint-Petersburg

Museum and Exhibition Center "Petersburg artist" is happy to present an exhibition of Anatoly Vasiliev (1917-1994), an artist-academics, representatives of the Leningrad school of realistic painting. Over the past twenty years, this is the first large-scale solo exhibition of the artist in St. Petersburg.

Most of his soul, the artist Anatoly I. Vasilyev, put into full-scale sketches, which he enthusiastically wrote to the late 40's to 60's. His works are distinguished color saturation, completeness and freshness of emotions, complex flavor. Many of his smaller works were created during the creative trips to the Urals and the Kama River (1953), in Karelia and the White Sea (1957), on Lake Baikal, Buryatia (1961-1963.), as well as in Italy (1964), Germany, Czechoslovakia and Hungary (1970).

 Works of Anatoly Vasiliev are in the collections of Museum of the Academy of Arts, Museum of History of St. Petersburg, at the Central Naval Museum, Central Historical Museum in Moscow, as well as in galleries and private collections in Japan, France, America, Germany, North Korea.
