The exhibition “Wolves” provides an insight into the lives of these impressive animals, the forefathers of dogs. It illuminates the distinct social behaviour in the pack, the relationship between wolf and prey, the protection of the wolves and the accompanying wildlife management, but also conflicts and problems of acceptance among the population. The latest findings on the genetics of wolves, on their migratory behaviour and on current proliferation tendencies show how researchers follow the trail of this wild animal. Spectacular film recordings of the Lausitz wolf pack, interactive and acoustic installations, models and specimens transform the exhibition, which was initiated by the Senckenberg Natural History Museum in Görlitz, into a special experience.
