In connection with the special feature on "floating", an international Avian Airport will be on display on the roof of the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany from 21 April to the end of October. This place of arrival and departure is also meant to serve as a meeting point for the approximately twelve "federal bee colonies" which are to initiate air traffic. Apart from providing space for about 180,000 bees, the wildflower meadow, which was planted on the roof of Art and Exhibition Hall in the summer of 2010, also offers birds from all over the world excellent landing opportunities – with the help of nesting boxes, feeding sites, large constructions for landing and taking off, together with electric airport signals and safety announcements.
