Museum Centre of Modern History at Angel Bukureshtliev Str. №14 will celebrate International Museum Day on 18th May and will host our special initiative – the visiting exposition The Fragility of Tolerance (The Salvation of the Jews in Europe during World War II) which official opening will start at 5:30 pm. The Fragility of Tolerance is realized within the project EuroVision. Museums Exhibiting Europe (EMEE), funded by the Culture Programme of the European Union. Project partner in Bulgaria is Bulgarian National History Museum. The visiting exposition presents the religion, traditions and culture of the Jewish community, the victimization of the Jews from 1933 until 1945 and their saving in Denmark, Albania and Bulgaria. Regional Museum of History, Plovdiv will enrich the messages with original exhibits from The Bishopric of Plovdiv, Jewish Synagogue and our funds.
