The exhibition Landscapes from the Gallery of Fine Arts Collection was created on the occasion of the International Museum Day that is being celebrated this year with the theme “Museums and Cultural Landscapes”, and it invites questioning of the relationship of man and the world that surrounds him.
It is a selection of 38 works that follow the development of landscapes in painting from 16th century until today through different art movements, styles and techniques. Guided by the given theme of cultural landscape we have selected works that reflect human presence, its influence, its marks.
Furthermore, the exhibition is accompanied by an audio project called Soundscapes by the multimedia artist Robert Vodanović Čopor. Robert listens in on the appearances of the world around him, listens in on the boisterous life of nature, the pulse of the city life, listens in and records. He then passes the captured sounds of a landscape through the filter of his own impressions and emotions and then collages and colours them with sounds by adding a guitar or a voice or whatever inspires him at that moment. On this occasion, Robert added sound to the exhibition Landscapes from the Gallery of Fine Arts Collection. Observing a particular work, Robert listened in on ideas and emotions evoked in him and made an audio recording that is available for you to hear by using your smartphone.
Following this year’s, 21st Educational Museum Action of Croatian Museum Association named “Click on the Cultural Landscape”, we have organised an audio-guide workshop for students of Franjo Petrić Grammar School, and you can listen to their work as well with just a few clicks. (Available only in Croatian language.)
We don't have anything to show you here.
